Meet Chris Doria, Founder
Most contractors learn the trade in kitchens and bathrooms. Chris Doria learned it from structures that cannot fail.
Before bringing his expertise to luxury homes, Chris built his career in New York City’s demanding structural engineering and construction sector, the high-rise towers and underground infrastructure where a fraction of an inch is the difference between safe and catastrophic. That world instilled a standard most residential builders never encounter: build for the worst-case load, the seismic event, the hundred-year storm, then make it beautiful.
When Chris turned that expertise toward residential building, it came with a singular realization: the most meaningful structures are the most personal. A family’s kitchen. A couple’s forever home. A guest house that brings three generations together under one roof.
Today, Chris personally leads every D&H project. He walks each site, navigates LADBS and coastal-commission permitting himself, and holds the work to the same structural-grade standards that defined his earliest career.
